THE SOHUM SPA is a prestigious wellness centre introduced in Sun-n-Sand to provide residents with a revitalizing experience. The Spa promotes a holistic approach towards health care and healing with a comprehensive offering of spa therapies and practices from all over the world. Appealing to both the regular spa enthusiast as well to the spa novice, on offer are a range of massages, body polishes, facials and body wraps. The Spa at Shirdi is also the first spa in the country to offer unique water therapies such as the Spinal Bath and the Abdomen and Hip Bath, steeped in Naturopathic healing tradition.

Therapies at Sohum Spa can be classified into seven categories. They are:

1. Rejuvenating therapies such as the Swedish massage, Sandalwood Body Polish, Nourishing Oxygenating Facial and Bastar Mud Mask.

2. Relaxing therapies such as Aroma Massage, Balinese Massage, Sohum Therapy, Jasmine Body Polish, Shirodhara and Aroma Facial.

3. Balancing therapies such as Meridian Massage, Vetiver Body Polish, Rebalancing Facial, Maintenance Facial for Men and Marine Algae Body Wrap.

4. Cleansing therapies such as Champak Back Treatment and Moisture enhancing Facial.

5. Healing therapies such as Spice Poultice Massage, Foot Reflexology, Healing Facial and Purifying Mask.

6. Invigorating therapies such as Himalayan Stone Massage, Spice Body Polish, Champi (Indian Head Massage), Reviving Facial and Protein Body Wrap.

7. Detoxifying therapies such as Abhyanga/ Indian Ayurveda Massage and Ayurvedic Body polish.

The Spa promotes therapies; it also believes that the therapies take meaning in the hands of a therapist par excellence. So you can heal, de-stress, refresh and rejuvenate yourself in the safe hands of a trained professional committed to your wellbeing.

For your convenience and keeping in mind individual requirements, there are six packages you may choose from at the Spa:

1. The Spirit of Shirdi package – A one day package designed to help your mind, body and soul, it includes a welcome herbal drink, a facial to suit your skin type followed by the relaxing Sohum Therapy.
   
   

2. The Honeymoon package – A one day package designed to ward off the fatigue after a hectic wedding, it includes a facial of your choice followed by a body scrub and completed with a Swedish massage.
   
   

3. The Stress Relief package – A three day package designed to ensure that when you leave Shirdi leaving, you leave behind your stress and worries! The package includes a consultation with our in-house Ayurveda expert who decides the oils for the treatment based on your body type. In the first day you will be offered a Shirodhara and an Ayurveda massage performed by a single therapist, the second day has Shirodhara and an Ayurveda massage by two therapists, the third day includes Shirodhara and an Ayurveda massage by a single therapist. You will also be taught breathing exercises and relaxation techniques.
   
   

4. The Bliss package – This three day package is designed to leave you relaxed, fresh and in a state of bliss. On the first day, you will receive a facial to suit your skin type followed by a Swedish massage. The second day offers a Thai Massage and the third day includes our Sohum therapy. On all three days, a Spinal bath will be offered as part of the therapy to strengthen the nervous system.
   
   

5. The Complete Wellness package – This innovative five day package is based on the wonders of many healing traditions from Thailand, India and the western world. Day 1 begins with a consultation with our in-house Ayurveda expert followed by a Body Scrub and Swedish massage. Day 2 brings Shirodhara and an Ayurveda Massage. On Day 3 you indulge yourself with a Body Wrap and Thai Massage and on Day 4, you get a Facial and the special Sohum Therapy. Day 5 sees you having a Hip Bath and Balinese Massage, completely replete and with a great sense of wellbeing.
   
   

6. The Relaxation Experience package – Closely supervised by our in-house Ayurveda and yoga expert, this seven day package is designed for the serious seeker who knows that “what is within is manifested without” and includes a consultation, Hip Baths, Pranayam and breath awareness meditation and a variety of massages.
