Day 01 Begin Your Tour | Arrive Amman
Welcome to your FAIRSKY TRAVEL HOUSE 'Jordanian Treasures' tour ! On arrival at the Queen Alia airport, you will be met by our representative, who will assist you through passport control formalities, luggage identification & porterage and transfer you to your hotel in Amman (Check in after 1400 hrs). Day 02 In Amman | Jerash | Ajlun | Amman City Tour
Today, after breakfast, we depart for Jerash. Entering the city through the monumental South Gate, you get an impression of the Roman lifestyle when you see the Roman Army and Chariot Show (RACE) in the hippodrome to watch gladiators fight & chariot races. We then proceed to see the lovely Oval Plaza, the Temple of Zeus, and the South Theater, which seats more than 3,000 spectators. Walking through the Colonnaded Street, you can see the Market Place, the Omayyad residential quarter, a 4th century AD cathedral, St. Theodores Church, the Nymphaeum, and the North Theater. After Jerash, we proceed to visit the stronghold of Qala' at ar- Rabad in Ajloun, which was built as a defense against the Crusaders. Back in Amman, we proceed on a city tour, starting with the downtown area, the oldest part of Amman, which is crowned by the Citadel. See the ancient ruins of the Temple of Hercules that dates back to AD 161, the Byzantine Church, the fascinating Archaeological Museum which houses an excellent collection of the antiquities of Jordan. At the foot of the Citadel is the 2nd century AD Roman Theater. Visit the old Bazaars and drive through the modern Western side of Amman. (B, D)
Day 03 Onto Petra | Madaba | Mount Nebo | Dead Sea
After breakfast, we leave Amman, driving south to Madaba, home of the most famous Byzantine mosaics. Visit the greatest and most significant of all the city's treasures, the wonderful mosaic map of ancient Palestine, which is located on the floor of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. Proceed to Mount Nebo, which dates back to the time of the Prophet Moses, around the 12th century BC. It is believed to be the site of the Prophet's burial place and the point from where he viewed the Promised Land. Visit the remains of the mosaic floors with stunning designs that feature hunting and pastoral scenes, found in the small church, built by the early Christians in the 4th century AD. Next drive to the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth at 421 meters below sea level. Its high salt content will enable you to float without any effort. Continue to Petra & check-in to your hotel (B, D)
Day 04 In Petra | Petra Tour
After breakfast, explore the Nabatean city of Petra. The tour starts on horseback, passing by the Obelisk Tomb and then proceeding on foot through the Siq -the narrow gorge that leads to Petra's most impressive monument, the Treasury. Then on to the Street of Facades, the Theater, the Royal Tombs, the Colonnaded Street, the Byzantine Church, the Temple, the Monumental Arch and Qasr el- Bint Faroun. In the afternoon, climb up to the gigantic 1st century AD monument of the Monastery El Deir. Later you will clean and relax your body at a Hammam, a Turkish Bath, including steam bath, Jacuzzi, hot stones, scrubbing and massage (B, D)
Day 05 Onto Aqaba | Little Petra | Wadi Rum
After breakfast, we drive to Little Petra, in ancient times the suburb of Petra and have a short walk in this bizarre landscape, which has been settled since 9000 BC. Next we drive to Wadi Rum, one of the world's most colorful and unique landscapes of desert and mountain scenery. Tour through its colored sands by Bedouin four-wheel drive vehicles, visiting on the way El-Ein (Lawrence's Spring), El- Khazali Canyon with its Thamudic rock inscriptions & the small Rock Bridge. In the evening, enjoy a barbeque party in a Bedouin camp under a goat-hair tent listening to traditional music, entertained by a belly dancer under the starry sky of the desert. After dinner transfer to Aqaba & check-in to your hotel. (B, D)
Day 06 Onto Amman
Aqaba is Jordan's only seaport and is famous for its unique marine life and attractive duty free shopping. The morning is at leisure for you to relax by the beach, to enjoy some water activities or to discover some souvenirs in the small shops. In the late afternoon we depart for Amman. (B, D)
Day 07 Homeward Bound
Good times need never end! As you get ready for the airport and your flight back home, relive the high points of your FAIRSKY TRAVEL HOUSE tour.
