Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu
Arrival at Tribhuban International airport, KATHMANDU, meet & welcome by our office representative & transfer to hotel.

Day 02 : Kathmandu
Puja at Lord PASHUPATINATH temple , Lord Narayan ( BUDHANILKANTHA ) temple & Krishna Temple Patan. Rest of the day is free for the preparation of Yatra. Evening briefing about KAILASH Yatra. Overnight stay at Hotel in Kathmandu/Dhulikhel.

Day 03 : Kathmandu - Nyalam
Breakfast and leave KATHMANDU to commence yatra to NYALAM (3,800 m), reach Friendship Bridge (NEPAL – CHINA Border) by mini-coach. Walk along for 10 minutes to cross the bridge and get introduced with your Chinese guide and land cruiser drivers. After brief information regarding your Yatra, proceed the journey to ZANGMU. Complete all the immigration and custom formalities and proceed to NYALAM . Arrive NYALAM and overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 04 : Nyalam
Full day acclimatization at NYALAM with an excursion to MILAREPA’s Cave. Freshly cooked meals, tea, coffees & snacks will be served. Overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 05 : Nyalam - Saga
After breakfast, drive ( 230 KM ) to SAGA (4580 m.) via Lalung La Pass, PAIKU TSO and cross the BRAMMAPUTRA river (known here as the Yarlung Tsangpo). ( 7-8 hour drive through TIBETAN plateau).Packed lunch will be served on the way. Overnight stay at guesthouse

Day 06 : Saga - Pyarang
Drive from SAGA ( 260 KM ) to PYARANG (4500 m) for about 7 to 8 hrs. Packed lunch will be served on the way.Overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 07 : Pyarang - Mansarovar
Drive from PYARANG (235 KM ) to MANSAROVAR(4560 m) for about 6 to 7 hrs. Packed lunch will be served on the way. Overnight stay at tented camp.

Day 08 : Mansarovar - Darchen
Morning holy bath and Puja at the lake MANSAROVAR followed by Parikrama in Land cruiser. Visit Chiu Gompa.Drive from MANSAROVAR ( 30 KM ) to DARCHEN (4560 m) for about 2 hours..Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 09 : Darchen - Dirapuk
Start KAILASH Kora/Parikarma from DARCHEN, pass the first prostration point, Tarboch Flag Pole, (ASTAPATH) the auspicious gateway and the sky burial ground, to DIRA-PUK(4765 m). Packed lunch will be served on the way. Overnight stay at camp.

Day 10 : Dirapuk - Zuthulpuk
Continue parikrama over DROMALA pass (5610m) to ZUTHUL-PUK (4700 m) ( 22 KM/ 7 to 8 hours trek).Overnight stay at camp.

Day 11 : Zuthulpuk - Darchen - Mansarovar
Last and final day of KAILASH Parikrama ends near DARCHEN (14 KM/ 3 to 4 hrs trek). Then drive to MANSAROVAR. Overnight stay at camp/guesthouse.

Day 12 : Mansarovar - Pyarang
Drive Manasarowar to PYARANG ( 235 KM / 6 to 7 hours).Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 13 : Pyarang - Saga
Drive PYARANG to SAGA ( 260 KM / 7 to 8 hours drive).Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 14 : Saga - Nyalam
Drive SAGA to NYALAM ( 230 KM / 7 to 8 Hrs).Overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 15 : Nyalam - Kathmandu
Drive NYALAM to KATHMANDU (165 KM / 5 to 6 Hrs).Overnight stay at hotel at KATHMANDU..

Day 16 : Kathmandu
Holy water offering at PASHUPATINATH and free time until your departure transfer to International airport for your onward flight.

We Recommend

  • Have your passport ready well in advance to avoid last moment visa procedures
  • Kindly consult your doctor and get yourself examined for this yatra
  • As Mount Kailash and lake Mansarovar is situated at high altitudes please start exercises like walking, jogging, yoga and other breathing exercises in order to have a successful yatra
  • Kindly get yourself a medical insurance for this yatra. Please make sure you cover yourself for emergency evacuation (helicopter) in the insurance.

Packing List

  • A small pack bag
  • Enough clothing for the whole Yatra. Do not over load
  • First aid kit (typical backpacking kit for minor injuries/ our guide also will carry).
  • Any regular medicines that you take
  • Toileteries kit (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, towels etc).
  • Water bottle / Thermos flask for hot water (1 liter).
  • Sports shoes (Good one Nike, Adidas etc)
  • Wool socks (around 4 pairs).
  • Wool/thermal long underwear (shirt and pants, which is easier to were while doing   parikrama). Note : Ladies to carry a pair of Salwar Kameez / Pants for the Parikrama
  • Underpants (3 or 4).
  • Gloves.
  • Sunglasses.
  • Sun lotion cream.
  • Nuts, biscuits, powder juice.
  • Rain wear (Umbrella or Raincoat)
  • Torch / Candle / Matchsticks

·  1 briefing session in Kathmandu

·  3 nights accommodation in Nepal on twin share basis with all meals (vegetarian).

·  9 nights accommodation in Tibet/ China using guesthouse/ camping with all meals.

·  Tibet visa and permit fee

·  Yak &Yakmen to carry kitchen equipments and food materials during Parikrama.

·  Ground transfers in Tibet using Chinese Deluxe coach

·  Services of an English speaking guide and a professional Nepali tour leader.
