VLCB-001 – Exquisite Bangkok

Visit the Royal Grand Palace, the perfect introduction to Thailand, the Buddhist faith, regal splendour and tradition. Though no longer the royal residence, it remains, the symbol of the kingdom. The key attractions around the Grand Palace include Wat Phra Kaew (the Temple of the Emerald Buddha), the Golden Chedi, and the Royal Pantheon. Wat Phra Keow is unquestionably one of the wonders of the world today. Within its enormous grounds is the most exotic Buddhist temple and at the heart of the temple itself is a fabulous Buddha image, carved from one-piece jade, which is the holiest and most revered of religious objects in Thailand today. Next stopover for lunch before proceeding for the River Cruise along Bangkok’s fabled “River Of Kings” – the Chao Phya river. A visit to the Royal Barges Museum is a must! The barges resplendent in gold and a historic cultural craft rarely grace public events today. Used occasionally by the King and the Royal family when they travel by river, the most graceful formation of the Royal barge procession can be seen at an annual procession to offer gifts to the monks at Wat Arun. Wat Arun which is also known as the Temple of Dawn (named after the Indian god of dawn, Aruna) is located on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River.

 

VLCB-002 – Nong Nooch Village and Cultural Show

Head to Nong Nooch Village, set against scenic green hills overlooking the breathtaking view of colourful Pattaya City. Nong Nooch Village is an absolute paradise with extensive orchards, parkland and a lake. Renowned for its wide-ranging flora species such as orchids, palm, cactus, bromeliad, and bonsai gardens, visitors can relax in this lovely charming setting. Besides the gardens, guests may also visit an antique house and a Thai Handicraft House. Besides these the village also features snakes, monkeys climbing trees to harvest coconuts, an outdoor elephant show, and even an indoor cultural show which includes numerous folk dances and Thai boxing. The entire complex including the botanical gardens and nurseries covers 500 acres.

 

VLCB-003 – Sriracha Tiger Zoo

Visit Sri Racha Tiger Zoo which houses the largest number of Bengal tigers (bred successfully at the farm). Besides tigers the zoo has several other animals such as crocodiles, ostriches, single-hump camels, kangaroos and an aviary of exotic birds. The highlights here are Crocodile wrestling, Kenya aerobics, Amazing Circus and Pig Racing. Sri Racha Tiger Zoo became the biggest zoo of its kind in the entire world – providing a home for over 200 of these big and powerful animals. Depart via Pattaya Beach back to the ship.

 

VLCB-004 – Pattaya & Thai Massage

Arrive in Pattaya and visit one of Thailand’s most famous beaches for a traditional Thai massage at the Pavillion or Pattaya Paradium. After an arduous massage, you’re sure to go back feeling refreshed and ready to start enjoying the many beach activities available along Pattaya Beach. VLCB-COMP – Shuttle To Bangkok

Take the transfer service to Bangkok and arrive at Central World Plaza for free and easy activities. The Central World Plaza is located at the city center in the Ratchprasong area and is walking distance to other major shopping sites. Amongst its tenants are large department stores such as Zen and Isetan. It also contains duty free shops, movie theatres, restaurants and even an ice-skating rink. Guests may also visit the local Pratunam Market or Narayana Phand, a Thai handicraft center located just opposite the World Trade Center for local souvenirs at reasonable prices.

Visit the ancient city of Ayutthaya located 76 kilometers north of Bangkok. This city was once the Siamese capital for 417 years and was ruled by 33 kings of 5 dynasties until the Burmese destroyed the city in 1767. Its remains, characterised by the prang (reliquary towers) and gigantic monasteries, give an idea of its past splendour. It has now been established as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Continue your journey by taking a 30-minute elephant ride before stopping for lunch.
